THE PURPOSE OF THE HVDV FOUNDATION IS TO KEEP HIS HERITAGE ALIVE FOR ANOTHER GENERATION.

 

We created the HVDV Family Foundation in 2016 to support the current interest in van de Velde by connecting with and assisting others who have been inspired by our great grandfather. Van de Velde was an idealist. He wanted to change the world with his art. We are not visionary artists, but we can do our part to make this world a better place by helping others who are conducting research, publishing books, or otherwise investing in van de Velde’s heritage. How? We will reinvest funds generated from author’s rights (valid through 2026) associated with van de Velde’s works in selected contemporary work.

 

The HVDV Foundation focuses on:

 

- approving requests to use HVDV author’s rights* 

- compiling information on contemporary HVDV projects and the connecting network

- granting awards for new and future research and projects relating to HVDV’s legacy 

 

*The HVDV Foundation has chosen Pictoright to act on its behalf regarding all legal and financial aspects of the van de Velde author’s rights. Pictoright is a professional not for profit organization specialized in this line of business.
